Tallahassee’s breakfast and coffee spots cluster in Midtown along Thomasville Road and North Monroe Street, in the Market District around Timberlane Road and Village Square, and near Florida State. Canopy Road Café has five locations in the city, and Lucky Goat Coffee has five.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Tallahassee’s city limits, the same records that feed our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 11, 2026. Places with no readable website, and places the map missed, are confirmed from Florida’s restaurant license records, with addresses checked against the U.S. Census Bureau’s city-limits map. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. A place can write to us to correct its entry.

The places

Argonaut Coffee, 850 S. Gadsden St. A local specialty coffee shop at Cascades that also serves baked goods and homemade breakfast and lunch.

Beignets & Brew, two locations. A beignet and specialty coffee chain with shops on Timberlane Road and West Tennessee Street.

Bruegger’s Bagels, two locations. The bagel chain’s shops on North Monroe Street and in Mahan Village offer dine-in, online orders and catering.

Canopy Road Café, five locations. A local diner chain serving breakfast and lunch every day, first come, first served. Its sixth location, on Old Water Oak Road, is outside the city.

Dear Sunday Café, 1123 Thomasville Road. A Midtown café. Its site would not load for us; the state inspected it in January 2026.

First Watch, 1415 Timberlane Road. The breakfast and lunch chain’s Market District restaurant, with dine-in, takeout, delivery and an outdoor patio, it says.

Flying Biscuit Café, 1380 Village Square Blvd. A breakfast, brunch and lunch chain serving in its dining room or on its patio, with free parking and catering.

IHOP, two locations. The pancake chain’s North Monroe Street and Apalachee Parkway restaurants. Its site blocked us; both hold current state licenses.

Jeri’s Midtown Cafe at Market Plaza, 1370 Market St. A breakfast and lunch café that also hosts wine dinners and holiday menus.

Keke’s Breakfast Cafe, 1861 W. Tennessee St. A breakfast chain near the Florida State campus. Its location page was not found; the state inspected it in August 2026.

Le Peep, 3551 S. Blair Stone Road. A breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant with a gluten-free menu.

Lucky Goat Coffee, five city locations. A Tallahassee coffee roaster taking order-ahead orders. Its Bannerman Road shop is outside the city.

Maple Street Biscuit Company, 1600 W. Call St. A biscuit breakfast chain near the Florida State campus. Its location page was not found; the state inspected it in August 2026.

Patchwork Coffee, 655 W. Jefferson St. A vintage Americana-inspired specialty coffee shop inside Ruge Hall near Florida State, opened in 2025.

Red Owl Coffee Company, 1322 Mahan Drive. A coffee shop open seven days.

RedEye Coffee, two locations. A Tallahassee coffee roaster with shops on Capital Circle Northeast and in Midtown, plus breakfast catering.

Uptown Café, 1325 Miccosukee Road. A café serving homemade brunch all day, with seating under its awning.

Waffle House, 5022 Capital Circle SW. The chain’s other Tallahassee stores are on its locator.
