How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Tallahassee’s city limits, the same records that feed our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 11, 2026. Places with no readable website, and places the map missed, are confirmed from Florida’s restaurant license records, with addresses checked against the U.S. Census Bureau’s city-limits map. Ice cream and frozen yogurt are on our ice cream and desserts list. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. A place can write to us to correct its entry.
