Midtown is the neighborhood north of downtown along Thomasville Road. The city’s neighborhood registry maps the area of the Midtown Neighborhood Association, about 110 acres east of Gadsden Street, which is the boundary this page uses; the registry now lists that association as inactive. A separate active group, Midtown West, is mapped about a mile to the west, so a listing or meeting notice that says “Midtown” may mean either area.

Where it is

On the registry map, the Midtown Neighborhood Association area runs north from East Seventh Avenue to Thomasville Road, between North Gadsden Street on the west and Payne Street on the east. Its streets, from Leon County’s address map, include East Seventh, Eighth and Ninth avenues, Colonial Drive, Pine, Grape, Terrace and Harper streets and the stretch of Thomasville Road along its northern edge.

The county places about 470 addresses inside it, all in the city and all in ZIP code 32303. About three in 10 carry a unit number, which on the county’s map marks apartments, condos and offices; the rest are mostly houses.
