How students get in

SAIL does not appear on the district’s high school zone map, so no address is zoned for it. Families request it through the district’s School Choice office: under controlled open enrollment, students may apply for a school or magnet program outside their zone, and when there are more applicants than seats a computerized random selection is held. The district asks that questions go by email to schoolchoice@leonschools.net.

Calendar and bell times

  • Wednesday, Nov. 11: Veterans Day, schools closed
  • Nov. 23-27: Thanksgiving break

The district’s SAIL page lists a nursing academy, with a certified nursing assistant program for 11th and 12th graders offered with Lively Technical College on the SAIL campus, an applied robotics academy and a fitness, health and nutrition pathway.
